Compatible with your Android smartphone equipped with near field communication (NFC), the Snapper Mobile app serves as the essential companion to your Snapper+ card or Semble SIM.

With a simple tap of your Snapper card to the back of your phone and a one-time login, easily access features such as checking your balance, viewing recent transaction history, topping up without transaction fees, and purchasing a travel pass from any location, at any time.

Key highlights of the new app features include:

• LOG IN: Enhance security by logging in to your registered Snapper account upon opening the app, using the same credentials as the snapper.co.nz website. New users can create an account within the app. Subsequent logins are required only if manually signed out.
• CHECK YOUR BALANCE: View your card's real-time balance with ease.
• TOP UP: Instantly add funds without incurring transaction fees. Set a top-up value using the dial or input a specific amount.
• BUY A TRAVEL PASS: Purchase travel passes tailored to your card’s concession status and have them instantly loaded to your Snapper account.
• TRANSACTION HISTORY: Access detailed, real-time transaction information, showing the latest 20 transactions categorized by transport, retail purchases, or top-ups with accompanying icons.
• SAVE PAYMENT DETAILS: Securely save payment details with a 4-digit PIN for faster top-ups.
• REGISTER: Quickly secure and protect your Snapper card in the event of loss or theft directly within the app.
• VIEW CARD INFORMATION: Review all pertinent details of your Snapper card at a glance, including the unique 16-digit card number, concession status, or any pending IOUs.
• IN-APP FEEDBACK AND SUPPORT: Easily access support directly from within the app for prompt assistance by selecting "Feedback" and providing necessary details.

Please note:

• The app requires specific permissions to operate effectively:
  - *Read phone status and identity*: Granting access enables identification of user's phone through a unique ID (IMEI) for security purposes.
  - *Read the contents of your USB storage*: Permission allows attachment of photos when using in-app feedback function; no private data is downloaded.
  - *Full network access*: Necessary for communication between the app and Snapper servers to perform transactions securely.
  - *Org.simalliance.openmobileapi.SMARTCARD*: Enables communication with secure elements like the Snapper SIM.
  - *View network connections*: Required to connect to the internet and select appropriate network configurations.
